Our Mission
Gathering with purpose
We are San Francisco Venture, a 501(c)3 spiritual organization, fostering community and connection by providing financially accessible retreat space and facilitating connection for nonprofit and mission-driven groups. Through our Venture Retreat Center in Pescadero, we support gatherings rooted in nature, spiritual, creative, and cultural engagement. Venture provides this retreat space in a California coastal creekside wilderness sanctuary to foster spiritual quests and community-building of our guests.
stewarding sacred land
We steward sacred Northern California land, preserving its natural beauty and biodiversity, creating a safe, inclusive environment for reflection and growth. We serve non-profit and mission-driven organizations coast to coast, but our primary focus is the Bay Area and our regional community. Our guests, members, partners, and friends are united by a desire for inclusive, democratic gathering spaces, a commitment to healing, connection, and transformation through self-awareness and community, and a preference for nontraditional venues that honor land, spirit, and a collective experience.
supporting seekers
We are available to individuals and organizations doing work across a broad spectrum of the human experience, with a dedication to radical accessibility, equity, and openness, in a natural setting that fosters authenticity, presence, and transformation. We support the spiritual growth of our guests by providing sacred space along with a range of resources and experiences. We connect guests with teachers and guides in yoga, meditation, Qigong, Tai Chi, forest bathing and wellness practices. We can coordinate outdoor excursions nearby–organic & regenerative farm visits, guided hikes, or coastal and marshland exploration. We hope these opportunities encourage our guests to find spiritual connection in nature and community, while also offering pathways for teaching and leadership. Our goal is to create, together, a holistic cycle of teaching, learning, sharing, and growth.
